SEEN ON THE SCENE: While Donatella Versace was in town to check on her new store at Rush and Walton, the fashion queen lunched at neighboring Le Colonial — joined by a handful of guests dining on a selection of the eatery’s Asian delicacies. … During Jon Favreau’s visit to Chicago to promote his upcoming “The Jungle Book” film, the actor and filmmaker stopped by Second City to check out “Fool Me Twice, Deja Vu,” the mainstage production at the improv mecca. The good news: Nitz has added a second show at 7 p.m. April 10. The event marks the 55th anniversary of the music legend’s famous performance and “Judy at Carnegie Hall” recording — one of the most acclaimed live concert recordings ever made. Joining Nitz for this musical tribute will be popular Chicago cabaret singers Jennifer Chada, Laura Freeman, Kimberly Gordon, Sophie Grimm, Ester Hana, Tecora Rogers, Jeannie Tanner and Melissa Young — plus special guests Honey West and Denise Tomasello. Musical direction will be led by Johnny Rodgers, former musical director for Garland’s daughter Liza Minnelli. … It was quite the day in our nation’s capital Monday for Chicago’s Happiness Club, the talented local musical group, who performed their new song “We Made It,” written specifically to coordinate with the 2016 White House Easter Egg Roll theme, “Let’s Celebrate.” Best of all, all the kids present got to enjoy another Chicago favorite: Eli’s Cheesecake desserts. … The Hawks’ Bryan Bickell celebrated his recent 30th birthday by hanging out with family and friends, driving bumper cars, bowling and playing laser tag at WhirlyBall on West Webster.
