A 22-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in the Austin neighborhood Tuesday afternoon on the West Side.

About 3:15 p.m., he was fighting with someone in the 500 block of North Laramie when the other person pulled out a gun and shot him in the abdomen and shoulder, according to Chicago Police.

Family members drove the 22-year-old to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park and he later was transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

A 19-year-old man was killed in another Austin shooting Tuesday morning.
