The Katydids on “Teachers.” | TV Land

Class will be back in session for the Katydids now that TV Land has ordered a second season of the Chicago improv team’s series “Teachers.”

TV Land said the show, which sprang from a popular web series, has averaged 3.4 million viewers each week, a figure called “impressive” in the channel’s announcement. The season finale airs March 16.

The six women of the Katydids — Caitlin Barlow, Katy Colloton, Cate Freedman, Kate Lambert, Katie O’Brien and Kathryn Renée Thomas — will be back for 20 more episodes of the comedy about elementary school teachers with messy lives.
