Woman shot in Lawndale

A woman was wounded in a shooting early Wednesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

The 29-year-old woman was outside in the 4300 block of West Cermak at 1:03 a.m. when she heard shots and realized she’d been hit, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the foot, police said.
