A man was injured by broken glass when someone shot at him in the Brainerd neighborhood early Wednesday on the South Side.

The 27-year-old man walked into Mercy Hospital and Medical Center about 12:35 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

He told investigators he had been shot in the head in the 4900 block of South Halsted, but further investigation revealed that he was injured by glass fragments when someone shot at him, police said. He was listed in good condition.
