A 34-year-old man was shot in the arm Wednesday afternoon in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The shooting happened at 3:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Lawndale, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The man has documented gang ties and the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute over narcotics, police said.
