Evanston police release photos of burglary suspect

Evanston police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a burglary last weekin the northern suburb.

About 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, a residence in a condominium building in the 1500 block of Hinman Avenue was burglarized, according to Evanston police.

A total of $30,000 in jewelry, sterling silverware and a light blue backpack wasstolen, according to the victim.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video and police are asking for help identifying him.

Anyone with information should call detectives at (847) 866-5040; or anonymous tips can be texted to 274637 by entering EPDTIP in the message.
