Evanston police are asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in a burglary last week in the northern suburb.

About 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, a residence in a condominium building in the 1500 block of Hinman Avenue was burglarized, according to Evanston police.

A total of $30,000 in jewelry, sterling silverware and a light blue backpack was stolen, according to the victim.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video and police are asking for help identifying him.
