Two injured in Lawndale drive-by shooting

Two people were injured in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in the Lawndale neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 17-year-old boy and 20-year-old man were both standing on a front porch in the 1600 block of South St. Louis Avenue about 10:35 p.m. when a red SUV drove by and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The teenager was shot in the left leg and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the buttocks and right leg and was also taken to Sinai, where he was listed in serious condition.
