A 36-year-old man was shot in the Austin neighborhood Sunday evening on the West Side.

He showed up at Loretto Hospital just after 7 p.m. with one gunshot wound to the chest and two to the left shoulder, according to Chicago Police.

The man told investigators he had been sitting inside a vehicle parked in the first block of North Long Avenue when three people walked up and one of them opened fire, police said.

He was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said. Investigators think the attack was gang-related.
