EARLIER: Chicago’s Chance the Rapper was hospitalized Monday and pulled out of a scheduled performance at a charity event, Billboard reports.
Robin Hood, an anti-poverty organization, tweeted that Anderson Paak, Mark Ronson and Joey Bada$$ would take Chance’s place at the “Night for NYC” event Monday night at Terminal 5 in New York.

The rapper’s illness was not disclosed. In 2014, Chance called in sick when he was due to perform at the Coachella festival with what his management called “a combination of the flu virus and tonsillitis.”
His new mixtape, “Chance 3,” is scheduled for release Friday, and Chance debuted the single “Blessings” last week on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
