A 17-year-old boy was shot in the leg Wednesday evening in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

It happened about 6:40 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 63rd Street, according to Chicago Police.

The teen was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition was stabilized. He was not being cooperative with investigators, police said.

The boy was at least the fifth person shot on the Southwest Side on Wednesday. Three people were wounded in the same neighborhood about 12:45 p.m., and a man was shot in the head in Gage Park just minutes earlier.
