The LaSalle Street Bridge will be closed to daytime traffic for about one week starting Monday to replace a center lock that has been out of repair since last year.

All lanes will be closed daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., according to a statement from the Chicago Department of Transportation.

Northbound motorists should turn right on Wacker and use Dearborn to cross the river and before turning on Kinzie back to LaSalle, CDOT said. They can also turn left on Wacker and use Franklin to cross the river and then head west on Hubbard to LaSalle.

Southbound motorists should drive east on Kinzie to Clark to cross the river and then go back LaSalle, CDOT said. They can also drive west on Kinzie to Wells and then cross the river and back to LaSalle.
