A 50-year-old man riding a bicycle in Austin was shot and wounded.

The shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. in the 5900 block of West Division Street, according to the police, who said a car pulled alongside, and someone inside shot the man in the shoulder.

He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition, the police said.
