Lane closures began Monday in the Far South Side Mount Greenwood neighborhood and southwest suburban Merrionette Park, Alsip, Blue Island and Robbins.

Starting Monday, traffic will be reduced to one lane on Kedzie Avenue from 115th Street to 135th Street and on 115th Street from Kedzie Avenue to Rockwell Street, according to a statement from IDOT.

The construction, which is scheduled to be completed this summer, is part of a drainage improvement project, IDOT said.
