Man shot in West Lawn

A man was wounded in a shooting early Tuesday in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 19-year-old was walking with a friend in the 6200 block of South Komensky at 3:24 a.m. when he heard shots and felt pain, according to Chicago Police.

He showed up at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to the knee, police said. He was listed in good condition.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member and the shooting might have been gang related.
