Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman Sunday evening in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 37-year-old woman was walking to the store in the 4300 block of South Sacramento about 8:30 p.m. when she was approached by a male driving a black Pontiac, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The male engaged the woman in conversation, exited his vehicle, held a cloth her face and then sexually assaulted her, police said. The woman fell unconscious and awoke in the suspect’s car.

He then pointed a gun at her and told her to leave, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man, about 40 years old, with diamond stud earrings in each ear, police said.
