A woman was shot early Friday in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 23-year-old woman was standing outside in the 5000 block of West Quincy at 12:30 a.m. when she heard gunfire and realized she’d been shot, according to Chicago Police.

She suffered a gunshot wound to the right foot and took herself to Mount Sinai Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.
