A man was shot as he was driving in the Humboldt Park neighborhood early Saturday.

The 24-year-old was driving east in the 2700 block of West North Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. when he was shot in the face, police said.

He took himself to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and was later transferred to Stroger Hospital, police said. He was listed in critical condition.
