A woman was shot in the Woodlawn neighborhood Saturday evening on the South Side.

The 28-year-old was crossing the street in the 6600 block of South Champlain at 6:10 p.m. when she heard gunshots and realized she’d been struck in the left leg, according to Chicago Police.

She was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where her condition was stabilized, police said.

About the same time, a person was wounded in another South Side shooting.
