Chicago Police are urging South Side residents to take caution after a series of armed robberies in the Armour Square and Chinatown neighborhoods over the last month.

According to a community alert from Deering District police, two people, a male and female, have carried out the robberies, which were reported:

  • in the 100 block of West Cermak, about 3:50 p.m. April 28 and again about 8:30 a.m. May 12;
  • in the 2200 block of South Wentworth about 1:50 p.m. May 4; and
  • in the 2700 block of South Princeton about 8 p.m. May 11.

Police do not have detailed descriptions of the suspects. Anyone with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8382.
