An 18-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in the Marquette Park neighborhood late Sunday on the Southwest Side.

He was outside with a group of people about 9:50 p.m. in the 7100 block of South Washtenaw when someone in a car opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the abdomen and taken in critical condition to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
