Man shot in South Shore

A 35-year-old man was shot early Monday in the South Shore neighborhood.

He was standing on a front porch in the 7800 block of South Kingston about 2:35 a.m. when someone in a vehicle nearby fired shots in his direction, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the left leg and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
