An 18-year-old man was shot in both legs Friday night in a University Village neighborhood drive-by attack on the Near West Side.

He was standing on the front porch of a home in the 1200 block of West Grenshaw at 9:25 p.m. when someone in a dark car opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
