A man has been charged with burglarizing a home early Wednesday in the Buena Park neighborhood on the North Side.

Ronnie Phipps, 18, was arrested at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday in the 4200 block of North Paulina, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

A 62-year-old man had called police to report that several items were missing from his vehicle and home in the 4200 block of North Greenview, police said. Officers canvassing the area later found Phipps on Paulina with multiple items in his possession that did not belong to him.

Phipps, who lives in the 7600 block of South Oglesby, was charged with a felony count of residential burglary, two misdemeanor counts of attempted residential burglary, one misdemeanor count of trespass to land and one misdemeanor count of trespass to a vehicle, police said.

He was ordered held on a $75,000 bond Thursday, according to the Cook County sheriff’s office. His next court date is scheduled for June 1.
