An 18-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot multiple times around 3 a.m. Saturday as he rode in a vehicle headed on Illinois Route 31 in unincorporated Aurora Township.

Another vehicle started following them and someone inside shot at them, hitting the man as he sat in the back seat, according to the Kane County sheriff’s office. No one else was hurt.
