A male was wounded in a Chatham neighborhood shooting Tuesday night.

The male, whose exact age was not immediately known, was shot in the foot in the 8200 block of South Maryland about 10:35 p.m., police said.

He refused medical attention at the scene and additional details were not available late Tuesday, police said.
