Boy, 15, shot in Englewood

A 15-year-old boy was shot in the Englewood neighborhood Monday afternoon.

The teen was walking in the 6700 block of South Sangamon about 3:55 p.m. when he heard gunfire and felt pain, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with a gunshot wound to his back, police said. His condition had stabilized.
