Chicago Police are warning Northwest Side businesses of several recent burglaries in the Dunning, Portage Park and Forest Glen neighborhoods.

The suspects shatter the front window or pry open the doors of a business to get inside, then take items, according to a community alert from Area North detectives.

The burglaries happened:

  • twice between 3:30 a.m. and 3:36 a.m. April 28 in the 6200 block of West Addison;
  • between 8 p.m. and 9:55 a.m. April 18-28 in the 4000 block of North Milwaukee;
  • between 6 p.m. and 6:25 a.m. May 1-2 in the 5200 block of North Elston; and
  • between 9 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. May 2-3 in the 3900 block of North Austin.
