A northwest suburban Woodstock man has been charged with possessing and reproducing child pornography.

Jerry S. Mannion, 41, has been charged with two counts of reproduction of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography, according to a statement from the McHenry County sheriff’s office.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped off the Illinois attorney general’s office that a user on Twitter was possibly uploading child pornography on Oct. 3, 2015, the sheriff’s office said.

The attorney general’s office notified the sheriff’s office about the case on Oct. 21, 2015, according to the statement. Detectives later identified Mannion, who lives in Woodstock, as the Twitter account’s user.

Mannion is being held at the McHenry County Jail on a $60,000 bond, the sheriff’s office said. His next court date is scheduled for May 10.
