A man was found fatally shot Sunday morning in the Englewood neighborhood.

About 8:35 a.m., an officer on patrol found 32-year-old Dwayne T. Triplett slumped over at the wheel of a vehicle near his home in the 1100 block of West 72nd Street, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He had been shot in the head and chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene at 8:53 a.m., authorities said.

Area South detectives have launched a homicide investigation.
