Police are cautioning residents of the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side after several home burglaries were reported in a matter of days within blocks of each other earlier this month.

According to an alert from police, the burglaries occurred in the 700 block of North Drake at 10:51 a.m. on June 6; in the 600 block of North St. Louis between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on June 6; and in the 600 block of North Homan about 5 a.m. on June 8.

In each burglary, suspects entered a home through the back door and took video game systems, televisions, computers, cellphones, jewelry and tools, police said.

Anyone with information on the burglaries is asked to call Area North detectives at (312) 744-8263.
