A body was pulled out of Lake Michigan near the Gold Coast on Friday morning.

The body of a male, whose age was not immediately known, was pulled from the lake near the 1800 block of North Lake Shore Drive at 8:21 a.m., according to Chicago Police.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office confirmed the death but did not release further details Friday morning.

Area Central detectives are conducting a death investigation.
