Police are warning residents of a recent string of apartment burglaries on the same Kenwood neighborhood block on the South Side.

In four incidents, the burglars gained entry through the apartments’ front door and stole property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police. In one burglary, the victim’s vehicle was taken from the garage.

Each burglary happened in the 5000 block of South Lake Shore Drive, police said. The incidents happened about 2 p.m. May 26; about 9:30 a.m. May 24; about 9:30 a.m. May 20; and about noon May 19.
