Man shot in Austin

A man was shot Thursday evening in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The 18-year-old was sitting inside a parked vehicle about 8 p.m. in the 5600 block of West Fulton when two people walked up, one of whom opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the right shoulder and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
