A man who was shot early Monday on the lakefront in the South Side Oakland neighborhood later walked into Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The 24-year-old man told investigators he was shot between 4:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. in the 4300 block of South Lake Shore Drive, according to Chicago Police. He was near the beach when he was approached by three males, one of whom pulled out a gun and shot him.

He showed up at Northwestern Memorial Hospital at 6:12 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the left buttocks, police said. He was listed in good condition.
