An 18-year-old woman was shot and seriously wounded Tuesday night in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.

She was standing outside just before 8 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Potomac when a vehicle pulled up and several people got out and opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The woman was shot in the back and taken in serious condition to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.
