Lane closures on Columbus Drive near Millennium Park are scheduled to begin Monday for road maintenance.

Two northbound and two southbound lanes on Columbus will close between Randolph Street and Monroe Street Monday, according to a statement from the Chicago Department of Transportation. One northbound lane and one southbound lane will remain open.

Maintenance work on the section above the Millennium Park Garage will last about five weeks, CDOT said.

For the first phase of the repairs, the southbound entrance and northbound exit to the Millennium Park Garage will be closed, CDOT said. Drivers will be able to use the northbound garage entrance near Monroe and exit the garage southbound at Randolph.

Michigan Avenue may be used as an alternative to Columbus, CDOT said.
