Man shot in Austin

A man was shot early Saturday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

About 1:30 a.m., the 29-year-old was in a vehicle in the 5100 block of West Division, when a light-colored car pulled alongside and someone inside fired shots, police said. The car then sped away southbound.

The man suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and thigh and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
