A man was shot Saturday afternoon in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on the South Side.

At 3:25 p.m., a 32-year-old man was outside in the 2000 block of West 48th Street when a car drove by and someone inside fired shots at the man before driving off, police said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the neck, and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where his condition was stabilized, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member.
