It’s been a strange month for Nikola Mirotic. After being invited to All-Star weekend, he was forced to drop out because of an appendectomy. After the initial surgery, he was taken back to the hospital for a hematoma removal.
Earlier this week, Bleacher Report’s Sean Highkin reported that Mirotic was still in pain from the two surgeries and had lost a considerable amount of weight. While things aren’t great right now for the stretch-forward, he is at least back in the weight room trying to get better.
Mirotic tweeted out a video of himself working out his legs.
The second-year player does look skinnier than before the injuries, but seeing him on his feet and working out has to be a good sign for the team.
In addition to Mirotic, the Bulls are still waiting on Jimmy Butler to return from an injury. Just as Butler went down, Mike Dunleavy returned from an injury that had kept him out all season to that point.
