Justin Grimm gets the Cubs out of a jam in the fourth inning

Things were starting to get a little dicey at Wrigley Field for the Cubs in the fourth inning. A leadoff walk by Jason Hammel had Joe Maddon going to the bullpen and needing some big outs.

With Justin Grimm in, things went from bad to worse after a soft ground ball to Kris Bryant turned into an error, putting two on with no one out.

Then Grimm got nasty.

The right hander blew through the next two Cardinals hitters. So with two on and two out, the Cardinals went to a pinch-hitter in replacement of John Lackey. With a 1-2 count, Grimm blew one by Tommy Pham.

The game is far from over, but every moment seems monumental for the Cubs. With both teams reaching into their bullpen, there are a lot of questions left to be answered.
