Man shot in Avondale

A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the Avondale neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

A 25-year-old man was sitting in his car in the in the 2900 block of North Kedzie at about 2 p.m., when a someone from a passing vehicle fired shots and drove away, police said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the left arm, and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, police said.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.
