Andrew Shaw extends the Blackhawks lead

Andrew Shaw is never going to be the most graceful player on the ice. No one will ever confuse him for Patrick Kane or Artemi Panarin. However, his methods get the job done.

Shaw went to work once again Sunday night in front of the Blues net. With a one goal lead in the final period, Shaw knocked in the all-important second goal, extending the Blackhawks lead.

The goal came with more than 15 minutes left in the game and the Blackhawks on a power play. It was Marian Hossa who blasted the puck at the goalie, with Shaw perfectly deflecting the puck into the net.

It was Panarin who scored the Blackhawks first goal of the game in the second period. A win Sunday would end a two-game skid for the Blackhawks after their long winning streak.
