The Cubs found themselves in a very familiar situation. Just like in Game 1 of the NLDS, a first inning home run has given the Mets an early 1-0 lead with Jon Lester on the mound.
The strike came with two outs and the hot hitting Daniel Murphy at the plate. Murphy, who already has playoff home runs this postseason against Zack Grienke and Clayton Kershaw, hit a no-doubt home run off the second deck.

Lester was able to get out of the inning with no further harm, but the damage was already done.
Lester strikes out Cespedes. But Cubs in 1-0, first-inning hole for second Lester playoff start in a row.

Mets pitcher Matt Harvey cruised through the first inning with two strikeouts and a quick ground out by Kris Bryant. He had similar success in the second inning keeping everything on the infield.
