A 21-year-old man was shot in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the Far South Side on Saturday evening.

He was walking in an alley about 6:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 103rd Place when he heard shots and realized he had been struck in the thigh, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

He was taken in good condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Sweeney said.
