SHARE Elderly man dies in University Park crash

An 84-year-old man died in a car crash Friday in south suburban University Park.

Ronald Lelo, of the 13600 block of Pheasant Circle in Homer Glen, died after a 9 a.m. crash at Dralle Road and Governor’s Highway in University Park, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Lelo was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:26 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said. His autopsy found that he died from multiple blunt force injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

University Park police could not be reached for more details Saturday.
