Shoeless Joe Jackson batted .304 and the White Sox defeated the New York Giants in six games. Chicago would return to the World Series two years later in 1919 when eight players were accused of intentionally throwing the series for money.
Neither the White Sox nor the Cubs would win another championship until 2005.
