Three teen boys were shot as they were in a minivan in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side Tuesday afternoon.

The shooting occurred about 3:40 p.m. in the 4900 block of South King Drive, police said.

Two of the boys, 16 and 17, were each shot in the back and taken to Stroger Hospital, police said. The third boy, also 16, was shot in the leg and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Their conditions had each stabilized.Authorities initially said four teens had been shot, but later said another boy in the van, 15, suffered a laceration to his shoulder. He was listed in good condition at Comer Children’s Hospital, police said.The CTA said No. 3 King Drive buses are temporarily rerouted in both directions via King, 51st, Calumet and 48th.
