Man shot dead in North Austin

A 43-year-old man was shot to death Friday night in the North Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

James K. Graham was outside in the 5300 block of West North Avenue about 8:45 p.m. when a gunman walked up and started shooting, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Graham, who lived in the 100 block of West St. Charles Road in Lombard, was shot in the head and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:27 p.m., authorities said.
