A 94-year-old woman was killed in a traffic crash on Friday afternoon near southwest suburban Lemont.

About 2:40 p.m., Lillian Linduska was in the passenger seat of a Subaru Outback traveling east on Archer Avenue when a westbound Mercury Sable crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the vehicle near West 107th Street in unincorporated Lemont, according to the offices of the Cook County sheriff and medical examiner.

Linduska was taken to a hospital where she died at 4:10 p.m., authorities said. Police said she was from Downers Grove, but the medical examiner’s office listed her home address in the 4400 block of Sunnside Avenue in Brookfield.

The drivers of both vehicles were hospitalized with minor injuries, police said.

No charges or citations had been issued for the crash as of Saturday afternoon.
